The Work Shop

Our Crouch End shop has been transformed into ‘The Work Shop’, here we aim to inspire and nurture creativity within our local community by collaborating with local crafts people, offering workshops throughout the year. For details on our courses

We have some very exciting news… From August, ‘The Work Shop’ will be open for 4 days a week. We will be stocking a vast array of haberdashery items and fabrics as well as cards and a beautiful selection of gifts. We will also be able to take workshop bookings in store. Why not pop along and take a look at the transformation!

Due to the change we will no longer be holding our ‘Swishing’ event. Some of you may still have your swishing tokens if you have attended a previous event, you are still able to use these at Mrs Bears other swishing events. Mrs Bear is currently searching for a new North London venue, we will keep you posted.....Her next event will be held at The Britannia in Hackney on August 28th. Please visit here for more details.

Let us organise your creative party for children or adults. Why not have your hen party with us, or treat someone to an extra-special private birthday party with one of our many courses on offer. Alternatively hire our space for your own private party, business meeting, group activity or exhibition space.

Soap Decorating Parties
This fun and creative party uses handmade soap to make beautiful gifts for your friends and families or as party favours for your wedding. You will make practical and pretty soap on a rope and herbal soap balls by adding natural colorants, botanicals and essential oils to grated soap. In addition you will use decorative cutters and ribbons to make shaped bars of soap with additional rose buds making them perfect for unique favours or gifts. Also learn how to make bath bombs using natural petals, essential oils and cocoa butter. Parties can be tailored to your own requirements and we have lovely facilities for you to have tea and cakes during your party. For children we need to omit essential oils.

Quilt Parties
Do you want to make a truly unique gift for a wedding present, birthday or baby shower? Our quilt parties allow you to make a beautiful and creative gift in relaxing surroundings. You can bring your own memorable fabrics or purchase from our range of lovely quilt fabrics to make a range of patches using appliqué, embroidery and embellishments such as buttons and ribbons. Suitable for machine quilters with experience or those who wish to hand sew onto prepared patches. Parties can be a little as 3 hours or a whole day depending on how much you want to achieve, we also offer finishing services to put together, quilt and finish your patches.
